In 2008, Chris moved from the Midwest to Greensboro, North Carolina to pursue PhD studies in Counseling and Educational Development at UNCG. Pivoting from the career goal of university faculty, Chris discovered that helping individuals, teams, and organizations thrive outside of academia was his passion.

After founding Ward Coaching & Consulting in 2009, Chris has supported managing partners, newly minted managers, twenty-somethings finding their way, and a myriad of others from diverse sectors. From broad, multi-year organizational culture change to individual developmental coaching sessions, Chris is an immediate partner for goal achievement.

After contracting with the Center for Creative Leadership, Chris served as a full time project director and faculty member. Since 2017, Chris has focused exclusively on coaching, training, and facilitation through his consulting practice. He believes authenticity, presence, and genuine inquiry can empower individuals and teams to see new possibilities and leverage their capabilities to achieve new heights. Chris lives with his wife and three children in Greensboro, North Carolina.
